The Ricanar System
Population :

152,234,951 Lupites
122,382,123 Humans
112,746,282 Cross Breeds

Located inside a sea of bluish gases, comes a system bounding to a fro with activity, traffic and trade. Its like watching an ant hill, space miners, scavangers, small spacecraft shooting around easily, building space stations, destroying space stations, talking to each other. From up in space it all looks rather peaceful, human colonists working, the glow of torches burning and melting metal in place, welding, utilising artificial gravity. There are many planets, gas giants, but there is one planet that stands out, plastered in many colours, green, brown, white, grey, even dotted with the faded greys and whites of cityscapes.

To passing ships a few of these men in white space suits even wave, signalling other ships, up here appears to have a thriving "Belt Community." Men and women working on space stations orbiting the lively planet, utilising spaceships to stop and collect parts, possibly to trade on the planet. A cruise liner consistently sits above one continent, following it carefully, sending and receiving smaller ships, that would be visibly painted as the "SS Havoc Ltd."

Kotusus
El Manar
Bukug Hood, 6th and 3rd "Shingas Corner"
13:23

The day was hot, and the hood was riled, not on any particular business, day to day was the same, everybody was "doin' they ting" sitting on corners, dealing drugs throwing dice in the alleys and generally talking about who would kill who in a fight, one this particular day, one gang stood out, The Muskamadamian Disaster Squadron. Keeko, their leader was a lanky, dark skinned individual, in workman's orange overalls, however it was only worn half way, with the arms used to tie an improv. belt. Openly flashing his pistol at his gang and passers by who tutted and shook heads at him, he was an asshole, a delinquent, up to no good, but today was a day where things were about to go from bad to worse.

As the wind blew through the neighbourhood Keeko stepped down from his apartment and observed the hood, nothing in the immediate area was tall, there was a iron spiked fence, taking hostage of a few plastic bags, rapping in the wind, and the songs of birds that flew around looking for a meal. A few burned out trucks were in a parking lot across the way with "scrappers" going to work on the car body parts, presumably taking them for their own rides. Keeko scowled, this hood sucked, why hadn't he made it to Mansion Mountain yet? Then, he saw his chance, a man walking up to the gang. Keeko walked back before him and alerted his boys, who got off the stares, in their wifebeaters and doorags and caps, walking up to the male.

As the man walked out a car followed the man up the street, men got out of the car and simply stopped, staring at Keekos gang. The man came up to Keeko "Yo, what are you sellin?"

Keeko sighed "Nothing, unfortunately"

The man laughed in his face. "What kind of street gang in El Manar can't even muster up a bit of crack to sell on the streets?!"

Keeko then changed his face from sadness to cocking on eyebrow up and smiling, this was his chance to get in on the con game. "Infact, we do have crack, you want to buy some?"

"Yeah sure, how much." The man said, nodding in approval.

"50 Kotokwachas for a gram"

The man then took out a handgun and pointed it at Keekos head before he could even say anything in retort. "YOU SELL FUCKING DROGS ON MY CORNER?!" The man was about to say something else when Keeko slapped the gun hand and the gun pointed at him out of his face, a gunshot rang out as everyone grabbed for their guns. Within 3 seconds the street filled with automatic gunfire, from the car to the corner, so many pistols, most turned sideways, firing in full auto. The fire was inaccurate, the man was shot in the back by his own side aiming for Keeko, Keeko grabbed the man's pistol, and took out his own pointing one normally and the other one sideways, he ripped gunshots on the car before the car blew up. Killing the man and all his gangsters. Within minutes Keeko and his gang, stained in blood were all over the car, raiding all the junk the man's gang had, including all the crack they planned on selling. Keeko looked over on the hood once more, if it was this easy, why hadn't more people killed their way to the top?

SS Guatamalite
80 Miles East of the Kotosan Seaboard
Mission Room
08:01

Admiral Juanditez smoked in the briefing room, puffing on a giant stogie as he pointed to a map with a wooden stick. "In three hours we will be protecting the Malverdian naval convoy escorting valuble supplies to the offensive on Kotosus, it is possible hostile bandits will be operating in the area. Fuego, Ramos, you're on for the first two, then you swap out with Chippy and Creeper, are we clear? Everyone else, you're on reserve. Lets keep this clean, the Kotungans arn't stupid enough to rush our air defences, it'll be a cakewalk."

30 Miles East of Kotusus
Malverdian Ariel Patrol
15:12

Mjr. Juan 'Scorpio' Fuego , and his wingman Mjr. Chase 'Eagle' Ramos flew over solomon in their ZhIG-27s on a combat patrol, breathing hard and heavy, Scorpio's radio crackled through to Eagle.

<:: "This is your captain speaking, clear skies, hot bikini babes and sangrias on the coast of Kotunga today." Eagle came in clear to Scorpio over the radio.
<:: "Pfft, I wish, lets just get home in one piece today huh?" Scorpio replied
<:: "Like they'd even engage us up here, they arn't smart enough to strike the columns"
<:: "Yeah I know what you mean, heh, dipshits the lot of them."
<:: "Wait, wait you might be wrong about that?"
<:: "Relax it's sunspot activity most likely"
<::"Eagle this is Scorpio we have the possibility of an enemy air signature, if its Kotosan they are in violation of air security."
<::"Copy that Eagle, I see em on LIDAR, single pair, possibly two ZhIGs."
<::"Eagle, coming into visual range now."

As the Malverdian pilots saw the opposite planes they flew past the Malverdians at extreme speeds, 6 of them.

<::"HOLY SHIT, NOT ONE, BUT TWO BUT THREE, Scorpio there are 3 pair of enemy fighters!"

Back at Malverdian Aircontrol the tower operators look at each other with dread.

As the formations broke in the Air the Kotungan planes darted in and out of the clowds, turning and taking place behind Scorpios tale, Scorpio successfully pulled off an inverted corkscrew as the Kotungan pilot fired his planes chaingun at the Malverdian plane.

<:: "Enemy fire on that ZhIG, he's trying to lock on me, break right break right!"

The air control tower operator in Malverdi slammed his fist down on the table "LAUNCH THE ALERT FIGHTERS, PUT THESE KOTUNGANS IN THE DIRT!"

"All active personel, report to flight capable aircraft, effective immediately!" yelled Admiral Juanditez of the SS Guatamingte as 7 ZhIG-27's scream off the deck of the carrier.

"Who is in the air?" Said Juanditez in his control room.

"'Chippy', 'Creepy', 'Sunrise', 'Jammer', 'Sierra', 'Nemesis', 'Shutdown'"

"Good, they're the best we've got."

"Sir, they're all we've got, the carriers catapult just broke, Shutdown barely made it off the deck."

The Admiral puffed on his cigar "My god, without them, there's nothing to stop the Kotungans getting through our defensive line."

Back in the air the Kotungans guns on Scorpio ripped his wing off.
"SHIT, I'M GOING DOWN."

<:: "This is Scorpio punching out!" Scorpio flew out of his ejector seat, parachuting into the ocean.

<:: "This is Eagle, I'm all alone out here, dodging bullets!"

Eagles plane rolled and screwed out, completely defensive avoiding Kotosan missiles and gunruns.

Eagle looked at a Kotosan pilot coming at him, a missile having been fired from his plane headed straight for Eagle, Eagle opened his eyes in horror, he punched out before the missile hit his plane, his plane was hit, and he was parachuting down, he saw the Kotosans coming down, he screamed into the wind as he flew downward "FUCK YOU!"

As he looked at the plane that shot him down, he then saw that plane explode violently as 6 Malverdian ZhIG-27s broke through the cloud barrier and joined the fray

<:: "Command Eagle and Scorpio are down but alive, 6 bogies still in the air, engaging."

The Malverdians launched missiles and shot cannonfire at the Kotosans, who gave as good as they got, each jet flying into supersonic evading, super-corkscrews and firing unbelievable missile shots, the 7 on 6 quickly turned into a 5 on 7 as ChSgt. Samuel 'Creepy' Crawlez fired his MAMREEM Missile at the ZhIG, wiping it out of the sky and quickly turning it into a fight of numbers. The Malverdian jets were all a standard olive-on-top and blue below, but all the Kotosan jets had tigers and lions painted over them, signifying their tribal, individual style. Today, however, it was the Malverdian unit that exercised the better cohesion and when 3 Kotungan fighters burned out of the sky and the other two turned tail, it was the Malverdians who had won the day.

Kotusus
El Manar
Triumph Beach
"Club Moderation"
03:40

Obi wasn't used to the capital, but he was laying low, the club was dim, its typical wishy washy MDMA tunes were blasting loudly enough through the speakers in the dark lit club. The ceilings were low and the spirits were high. A few bouncers stood around the DJ booth as some arrogant Kotungan thought he was the musics gift to the known universe, he grabbed the microphone in the club and yelled into it; "Alriiiiight you bitches make some nooooooise!"

His comment was met with cheers, then pistols were pointed into the air and fired, some people scattered, some screamed, and some were too drugged out to stop dancing. Smoke filled the top of the room as there was no such thing as health and safety on Kotunga. Between the drinking, the fights, the pointing of guns and open throwing of fist-fulls of coke into the air, people were having a good time.

In the back of VIP, big hitters were featuring, and better yet, a plot was brewing.

Akuma Mondwellu was the first to speak.
“You know why I have called you here, that idiot Kumu thinks he can just change this nation? He thinks he can just change all our profit margins, our drugs, our guns, our homes? No, we gotta do him in, and we got-"
Chikalo cut in
“Since when t’fuck where you incharge!”
He was immediately silenced by Hazeem Al-Bashir, who shushed him by slamming a knife into the table
Carl started. “Alright, from what I have seen I have somewhere in the range of a couple of thousand Malverdian X-9 assault rifles for export, with the amount of iron that comes out of Fuegos island he will never know what goes missing."

The 3 frankly nameless representatives understood however why they were there, and were only privy to see what was about to happen, they didn’t have any say in the matter, this is probably why 2 of the 3 looked bitterly discontent.

Akuma was the first to address them. “I assume all is going to plan with the Free Mans Coalition of Liberty?” to which they replied “No, no its not, nobody will agree to peace terms, but at the same time, nobody wants to keep fighting that much..”

“I don’t think we should be looking at national identity for now, with the old engineers union and the police union combined somewhere out there, there should still be competent workers, right?”

“I would assume so yes, but a lot of people wont know, it could take weeks, months to tell people that the fighting is stopped.”

“What about the nuke?”

“It’s in the capital.”

“Fantastic!" he exclaimed, he then turned his head "For fucks sake, Bad Dog!”

The pasty skinned white man wearing a balaclava was all but asleep by now, Akuma’s hailing snapped him awake “Urgh, yes?”

“You obviously know why you’re here.”

Bad Dog broke down the plan. “Alright, the plaza, im gonna hide in the rubble pile north of the Carnoti Meat Markets I’ll carry my rifle in a potato sack, Ill get there at 5, a white man in a crowd of black dudes isn’t exactly incognito.”

“Good plan bad dog, alright, Carl, rig him up with something.”

Akuma said it while nodding, content with his organisation. Carl replied to him “No problem man, just no manifests.

“Okay, it will be done, now get the fuck outta here, and remember, do everything in Moderation!” He said, tapping his nose.

Kotusus
Almonia
Karnto Village
05:40

"Okay, it begins." said Ibicarno, pointing at a map with his "General" looking over his shoulder, nodding, however clueless. He looked at the village of Karnto in the early morning dimness. He was going to take this city. Well, not him, but his men were going to take this city. Aged 14-45, he had assembled a strike force of 100 men, capable of levelling a town with the amount of hardware available to him, he had invested a lot in this attack, to see it fail now would surely destabilise his region, and allow Hinsatamaka to grasp as their empire they had carved out in Kotosus. Ibicarno got into his open top, olive drab jeep with the Manari flower on the side and sped away from the outskirts of Karnto, back to his home in the city, with him he brought his honour guard; a few 18 year-olds with assault rifles and grenades. He looked back at the village, seeing the beginning of conflict and the prattle of gunfire, eventually it was lost to the sound of his engine, and then it faded into the night as he left his troops to their fate.

A bright green illumination flare shot over the town that the Manari Freedom Militia were camped out on. Then, there was the revving on engines. Mopeds, trucks, techincals came out from the brush. The trucks drove around the village, circling it like vultures looking for prey. The response was anarchy, people trying to leave the village were gunned down, but the people fought back with gunfire and grenade launching flares. Green tracer fire burned into the air as the village warlord attempted to rally his force. The village lit fires as it was under fire, raising the flag of the honorable farm-warlord, Hinsatmaka. The village warlord came out of his straw tribal hut and was handed a megaphone by a small child. He snatched the megaphone in one hand, and his assault rifle in the other. He raised the megaphone to his mouth.

"People, we are under attack, stay calm and grab a rifle, arm your wives, arm your babies, if you relent from this assault, your wife will be raped and killed, and your children sold as slaves and fighters for Ibicarno!" People onlooked with horror and clutched onto dirt-encrusted rifles, scraping off the dirt, and painting on tribal war paint.

There was an explosion as a mortar round smacked into the centre of the village, fired by the Manari Freedom Militia operating in the area, it smashed into a well into the village, casting up water and flooding parts of the village as it leaked about. The warlord strutted to the hastily set-up defences of wood and stone as the Manari trucks moved in. The fire from the technical was devastating to the tribal males defending the village, they were cut down mercilessly by the trucks fire. The warlord was the only one with any real experience, pulling men down to the dirt and shooting back accurately. He fired an accurate salvo at the white pick-up truck technical, his powerful battle rifle cutting the gunner in half, causing the gun to shoot wildly into the air, lighting the sky up with powerful railgun rounds and breaking the Manari offensive. A mortar round flew through the air and landed short of the village. The night was lit up with gunfire, the grass becoming stained with blood. An RPG round smashed into the hut the warlord was fighting next to, splintering the wood thousands of times, digging small clusters into the warlords face and body, causing him to yell out and collapse. The Manari Freedom Milita advanced as a moped drove through the village, the driver was equipped with enough bullet proofing to make him feasible to defuse a large bomb, and a man behind him on the moped had a heavy-duty machine gun he was struggling to hold. He drove alongside the huts, peppering them with machine gun fire until a brave teenager from the village hid behind the wall of an upcoming hut with a fire axe. When the moped drove along the hut the teen swung the axe violently at the rider, severing his head from his shoulders. The brave teen was brought down by machine-gun fire, but the villagers wildly attacked the gunner. The villagers that didnt have tools to kill him wrestled away his gun, then clawed at him, attempting to rip out his eyes and teeth, it was the gunner that suffered the worst fate that night. Shortly after he was covered in straw roof tarp and burned in the streets as the villagers set up his machine-gun on one of the few mud-hut houses.

The machine-gun cracked and spat death at the Manari Freedom Militia continuing to advance, firing in short bursts to conserve whatever heavy ammo they had left. There was direct confrontation when the villagers impromptu machine-gun nest came into conflict with the Manari Freedom Militants trying to re-crew the technical, resulting in the explosion of the vehicle at the hands of the villagers. Thick, arid smoke from the ongoing battle as pockets of resistance on both sides fought each other to a stand-still. The dead littered the streets as the sun came up against the clouds of black smoke and the rising smoke stacks from the fire in the village. As parts of the village burned, people watched with sadness as they had to say goodbye to their treasured belongings: furniture, idols of gods, rare television sets.

As it would be later reported, the Hinsatmakans held off the Manari Freedom Fighters that day, but the new tribal warlord of that village knew, that because they had successfully defended their village, they would surely be drafted into the raiding parties of Hinsatmaka, leaving their village undefended. Such was the life on Kotosus, if you defended your village from the people that wanted to kill you, you would go and kill them if you made it through. The next morning, traders came through town, buying and selling all the army fatigues and hardware that was left behind in the battle, word travelled fast in Kotunga, and soon enough traders from all across set up shop in Karnato village.

Kotusus
The Faki Desert
"The Boneyard"
15:40

Two Malverdian-hired mercenaries sat inside their bright yellow painted desert mobility vehicle. The thing was a massive mining vessel, with 4 wheels, each wheel being about 18 feet tall. The mercenaries knew all too well the stories of the "sand monsters" liking in the Faki Basin, therefore such a vehicle seemed like the optimum choice for what they were out there to do. Their callsign was Hare 2-1, due to the speed they got to their objectives.

The Faki Desert used to be a place of solitude, lost treasure and perilous fauna. However with the advent of a strange distress signal which caused ships to constantly crash onto the large desert, the desert was lit up with ship-breakers and scavenging operations. The problem was, the people scavenging weren't always in the sharing mood, and sometimes ships only had one part that everyone wanted, leading to eventual conflict. Sand lashed the wind shield as the two mercenaries had parked their hulking utility vehicle above a sand cliff, looking out over the scorching Faki sand. The sky was crystal-clear blue, with not a cloud in site, and there was nothing but sand for miles. The two were making idle chatter when the radio crackled on and a voice rang out from it, it was their operations designator; the man who told them where to go.

The utility vehicles size meant that it could traverse the desert easily, but also carry important tools for ship breaking and part breaking.

<:: "Hare 2-1, Hare 2-1, This is central one."
<:: "Go ahead central."
<:: "We've found something, you guys better come out here and take a look."
<:: "Okay then, time to roll, utility responding."

The mercenary turned the keys in the slot of this huge vehicle and the whole cockpit of the vehicle vibrated as its hulking engines roared to life, it slowly rolled off the sand and began to pick up speed as it noisily grumbled across the desert. As they rolled out 3 Malverdian drones flew overhead, obviously escorting them, or some other utility vehicle. Inside the utility vehicle the machines inside all lit up, showing off that something was in fact, in the sand.

The mercenary who wasn't driving reached for his radio, speaking into it as he read out the stats from his computer on his lap.

<:: "Large anomaly detected, six point six kilometres out. This anomaly looks about a click long, maybe more."

<:: "Copy that Hare 2-1, drones are coming around for a second pass, this looks likes a civilian vessel. Crossing your position... now."

The crew of Hare 2-1 heard the drones fly over them again as they sped towards the now grey mirage on the horizon.

The driver of Hare 2-1 spoke into his radio.

<:: "Roger central, I've got you on-screen, and now I have visual."

<:: "Hare, the drones are showing that this is a big vessel, it could be a lot of money."

Hare 2-1 Replied

<:: "Yeah, if we can hold onto it."

<:: "Drones report no signs of activity.... No signs of existing salvage ops either."

<:: "We're the first ones here then?"

<:: "Yeah, looks like it."

<:: "I'm affirming that the signal is clean, no movement on the exterior of the ship."

<:: "My man on drone 3 here thinks this could be a civilian freighter, probably last century. Okay, wreck scan is complete, lets check the perimeter now, good luck salvaging."

Hare 2-1's crew began to discuss as the huge ship began to dwarf the utility vehicle more and more as they approached the massive ship. "I can never get used to these wrecks, they creep me out."

"Yeah man me too."

<:: "Escorts to defensive positions, drone one, maintain a perimeter, two and three, continue your sweep."

<:: "Rrrroger that. Stand by salvage crew."

<:: "Salvage crew standing by."

Hare 2-1s crew disembarked the utility vehicle to stand on the roof of the 30ft high truck, looking out over the wreck. "Its a big one, this."

<:: "Something's wrong, drones two and three are reporting ground units that arn't yours, must be a radar gl-"

Command then hesitated, then sighed.

<:: "Enemy contact, drones two and three have been shot down, prepare for battle."

Hare 2-1's crew armed themselves with automatic weaponry and sighed.

"So much for easy money."

Kono Lowlands
Malverdian 7th Paracommando, Rogue Element
Dragshamel Encounter
10:00

As the sun was above the canopy the soldiers of the 7th Paracommando, roughly numbering in 14 trudged through the undergrowth, snapping twigs and waving their riles around talking. As the point man was busy talking to the man behind him, he lazily followed a pre-made path rather than cutting one with his machete, the path was made out of dirt foot prints in the mud, going up a windy path under dark tree canopies. The flora in the Lowlands was blue and green, with rare pink flowers being picked up by distracted soldiers. The 7th Paracommando were armed to the teeth, as were all back-line squadrons. Explosive cable, mess hall creation kits, spare tires; unnecessary gear. Their paradrop in Fuego's failed offensive of Kotosus 2 years ago had still left them on the continent with nothing really to show for it. The Malverdian army's attacks on the area were nothing but sporadic, and whilst they had won almost every engagement they had been in with local militias, they had no idea what their directives were, or where they were going. Most jet and chopper support was shot down by Kotosan militias, however the 7th were about to run into something much more dangerous than the militia.

From the trees dropped a large figure, the pointman was crushed under its weight as it roared, it was the mighty Kotungan dragshamel. An alien silverback, with a carbon fibre exoskeleton. The troops shot it but it groaned and flinched the rounds off before killing the squad commander. WIthin seconds morale had plummeted and the gunfire faded into the jingling of mess pots and the crunching of sticks being broken as the platoons went this-way and that to get the hell out of the killing zone. The one rocket the group had was shot skywards after its user fell over whilst holding onto the trigger, sending the rocket across the undergrowth and quickly out of the canopy.

Tingi Mountains
Unknown Region
Distress Beacon
10:00

From nearby systems, a distress signal would ring out from the mountain region, the signal would be sent out from the planet, signalling and going wider and wider until someone would receive it, revealing Kotunga's position. Most intergalactic traders and travelers knew one thing about a distress beacon; it meant someone, somewhere had something to lose, and to the intelligent Kotungan. That meant the distressed had something to give, and if they didn't give it, something to lose.

Orbit Over Kotunga
Exploration Vessels

Two Heritage Vessels ported through their respective O-shaped portal tori. The ship lay there in orbit, still wondering what to do as it gazed at the life on the planets and space of the Ricanar System. On board sensors were going ballistic.

“Life signs, communications, space stations, natural resources, there is a lot here, we might have found an empire!”

“Nonsense, there is no protection fleet in the system, it is probably another world under siege by the Kranluthar, or maybe the Kranluthari home world. Whatever it is, it’s vast, and so are its resources. Do you have any idea of how much money this planet will make us?”

In the hangar bay of the ship a locking and clicking of weaponry as Wooden War Educates; the combat forces taught in the tactics of raiding and pillaging to the sharpest degree, loaded up to land on Kotunga. Noticing that nobody else seemed to be in the system yet, the Heritage forces would find it easy enough to manuvre around, their civilian-like vessels would probably not seem like an abnormality to planetary defence guns that their might have been on the planet. For Kotunga, the men and the operation had been ramped up a slight, with two cargo ships full of men, loaders and gear there, overseeing them war Knight-Baron-General Ribbonsly. He was dressed in a full red suede jacket that penguin-tailed to the backs of his knees, he wore, with this a knights plate mail armour suit under the formal red clothes. A large collar and a sabre coated in strange orange goo shone on his hip. Paired with his sabre he also carried a repeater bow, a rapid-fire, hand held, stabilised Guass bow. Some other veterans were armed with this high explosive cutting edge machinegun, however to see so many was rare.

Back on the bridge of the ship the nameless admirals communicated via transmission flags. Signals went as such, back and forth from the augmented signal corps.

Mile wide Island
60 Miles south of the Kono Lowlands

The Malverdian detection radar rooms were cramped, and usually filled with smoke. Smoking was a top way to pass the time on these isolated spits of island out in the Manari sea, so when something happened, it was usually the highlight of the month.
“Major, we have a signature.” Said a man at a desk consle, flashing blue and green as it lit up with a radar signature that had detected the heritage craft. The Major, who was sitting in his bunk, reading a 2 week old news paper sighed. He folded his paper, set it on the bed and stood up.
“This got me out of reading the same paper, a high amusing task, so what have you got for me? Falling debris? Another freighter about to crash into the Faki Desert?”
“No sir, multiple craft, entering atmosphere and, uhm, slowing down.” Replied the desk operator, a hint of excitement in his voice.
“I see, alright, scramble 4 alert fighters to check it out.”
“Acknowledged, sir.” Said the desk operator as he then picked up a hard-wired telephone at the console station. “Get me the Guatamalite, urgent, detection has picked something up.”

SS Guatamalite
120 miles east of Kotosus

The Major then sighed again and went over to the fridge unit inside the small metal box they lived in and took out a silver tin with APPLE JUICE stencilled on it. “God, how old is this stuff?”
On the Guatamalite, their response desk was more than willing to assist the radar operators.

“Copy that station 6, Guatamalite receives, and has launched 4 alert fighters.” The AC radioman then put his phone down, he stood up and walked down a metallic corridor and down a tight ladder set of stairs out to the deck. The noise was extreme was 4 jets were let away off the edge of the carrier deck and out to attempt to intercept the craft of the heritage. However these were only support fighters, and would not catch the Heritage before they land, or the heritage craft decided to engage them. The however a revalation occurred.

<:: “Guatamalite this is Eagle 7”

<:: “Go Ahead 7”

<:: “Those craft are going too fast, this intercept is pointless, we should have used the missiles.”

This statement was followed by a a lot of desk thumping across the Malverdian command board, combined with a number of relays. Back in Sao Linguano, General Fuego was updated with the situation.

Kotunga
Tingi Mountains

The exploration fleet broke off and slammed into the ground, like hard, iron rain. Some of the craft were able to land safely, but many neglected the landing gear, preferring to merely slam into their targets, creating dug in homes.

High up in the Tingi Mountains, the crafts were salvalged in order to make walls and fortifications around the ships heated interiors, a small, metal village that looked like a rock formation from space. That was to the beginning of Scholerade Village. Scholerade was focused near the oil in the area that had been created by scans.

Kotunga
Kono Lowlands

In the Kono Lowlands, the deep impact on the southern part of the promise created a village LZ with a promising expansion onto the sea, not just that, but near timber resources in that area. It was to be named Vinewood Village.

Kotunga
Canoofaque Heartlands

But the biggest concentration of forces landed in the food rich Canoofaque Heartlands, focusing on the vast grain storages and food that it held, this was the town of Bruckwood.

Kotunga, Swarracor Coast
Rocky Outcroppings Outside of Town
'Juna'Kalir' Landing Zone

Zahara Ni'Kali quietly stared out into the early Kotungan morning; her softly glowing blue eyes blinking behind the protective glass of her envirosuit's helmet. A small fire and three tiny tents were beside her; signifying the fact they would be staying here awhile. A cryo-cig, expelling steam from the business end held in between her three fingers, was inserted into the input slot on her helmet. The sweet, freezing cold gas filled her lungs, and she nearly shook in ecstasy. She hadn't had one in weeks. It was one of the lag cryo-cigs in their small planet skipper, and the only place to get more was in the confines of Alliance space..

Zahara and her two fellow Frontiersmen hadn't seen Alliance space, or any other Kal'Bavakorians, since the start of the Great Interstellar War. The Light Drive lanes had been shut down, and many Alliance colonies had been abandoned since the Helium Depression began. They'd gone to the Hallo'Wai Syste to refuel and find help after the distress signals began going out, only to find it abandoned, and much remaining behind. They'd been using the world as a home base until a skirmish against Coalition-derived pirates a few months ago left their ship damaged, their fuel reserves low, and a deal of their crew dead.

Like the class of their ship was named, they had skipped across planets and systems, scavenging for whatever they could to survive. Their Frontiersmen group, originally in the hundreds and with multiple spacecraft, had slowly crumbled over the years without the ability to go home. Their mission to settle new worlds was worthless without contact with Kal'Bavakor, their ship slowly falling apart over the years, and their supplies had been dramatically dwindling. Now, it was only one last planet skipper, and Zahara and her two co-pilots remaining.

The cryo-cigarette had run out minutes ago, in the midst of her thoughts. The empty cartridge was simply discarded; removed from the insertion slot in her helmet, and thrown onto the dirty, rocky ground. She turned around on her seat, with her rear placed firmly on an empty cargo crate she'd removed from the ship the day before, to view the planet skipper and her co-pilots Juu'Sir Aka and Hakeya Ol'Nar. Both were wearing similar enviro-suits, and were hard at work removing cargo stores from the ship and moving them to the camp nearby, where Zahara was sitting. She had been working the previous night on the ship, and they had insisted she get some rest and eat before the day started. Zahara merely shook her head at the thought while watching the two drop a heavy cargo crate onto the ground beside the planet skipper's open hatchway, and pause for breath. They were setting up shop for a long stay..

They didn't want to, of course. Kotunga was a planet marked in the Alliance's extensive xeno database. A world of dangerous criminals, hideous crimes, and alien filth of the worst kind. Zahara's scales crawled at the mere thought of landing on Kotunga, but they had no choice. The only upside to landing here was that, perhaps, they could find fuel and parts to fix their craft. Maybe even enough replacement systems to manage a return to Alliance space. Kotunga was extremely dangerous, but it wasn't like they were going to thrive outside the familiar Kal'Bavakorian ecosystems their bodies needed. They might as well give it a shot, because no matter what happened, they weren't leaving Kotunga without help.

"Juu'Sir, Hakeya.. Come here. It's time," squawked Zahara; the audio speakers on her helmet carrying her voice to the two other Kal'Bavakorian Frontiersmen. The two Kal'Bavakorians, tired with carrying cargo boxes off the ship, would slowly trudge over towards their camp just a few meters away. With plasma rifles magnetically sealed on their backs they slowly stepped up next to Zahara and took seats; both silent as ever. Zahara nodded to each of them, before cooing.

"That town we spotted while coming down yesterday.. We need to head in and see what we can find."

The 'plan' almost immediately received angry resistance from the exhausted Juu'Sir, who retorted,"And what are we going to do, Zahara? Ask these degenerate humans 'politely' for parts for our ship? They hardly look like civilized beings.. More like half digested Kal'Meesu lunches." Hakeya would merely nod in reply, although her weak voice was nearly lost from the shaky entry into Kotunga's atmosphere the night prior.

Zahara merely sighs,"We don't really have a choice. We only have a few cargo boxes left, so if we don't just dry up, we'll die of starvation on the rocky rad-zone. I'll take Hayeka if you don't want to come."

Juu'Sir merely snarls; a bit defensive, and clearly exhausted, "I'll stay to guard the craft in case any curious locals come picking around."

"Very good. Put some motion sensors out, too. You'll need to get some rest.." Replies Zahara with a second nod. She then glances down at Hayeka, who is staring upwards at Zahara, as if expecting something to happen. She is tired, they all were, but sitting around would only weaken them more than they already were. To move is to survive, and they needed to do it sooner than later.

With a light sigh, Zahara honks quietly,"Hayeka, let's grab our gear and get moving. We'll want to start early before the day gets much too old.. It's best we don't make our way back in the dark." With that, Hayeka silently rises and begins to make her way back towards the ship to grab her extra gear, leaving Zahara and Juu'Sir to sit there alone. As he, too, begins to rise, Juu'Sir mutters just loud enough for Zahara to hear.

"I hope you know what you're doing, Zahara." He walks off.

Zahara looks down at the ground, not giving any immediate response to Juu'Sir as he walks off. Silence takes her for the time being. After a minute of silent thought, she replies to no one in particular.

"Yeah.. Me too."

Kotunga
Tingi Mountains

"So they wish to set up a village, interesting." Obran spoke these words whilst twisting the side of his long range binoculars, looking at their village from the high up mountain side. "These aliens look like human, but... they're taller, I think." a man beside Obran was lying down, with a rifle pointing in the direction of the village, was scopeless, useless in a long range firefight. At the minute however he didn't clutch the rifle, but let it lie on his chest as he had a pencil and paper-pad in his hand, scribbling down everything Obran noted.

"They've got large space ships, many in number, by the way they're darting in and out of this place they seem to be consolidating on this area. Its unclear what they'd want to do up here in the mountains, the oils on the other side of the peninsula, maybe they're off, maybe they'd want to go to the tower."

The man beside Obran stopped scribbling down notes and raised his left eyebrow. "Boss, why'd they want to go to the tower?"

Obran sniffed in the cold air and retorted, looking away from his binos then back to them as he monitored whilst talking. "The Tower of Rahe has a spaceship distress signal on it, it draws loads of people in to it."

The lackey continues to scribble stuff down on his pad as he nods. "I see, I see, by the way, are the legends true about that stuff?"

Obran looks away from his binoculars and sighs, casting his breath onto the air. "Are you serious? Of course they're true, I know like fifteen men that died attacking that tower, the three rule the tower, nobody in legend has conquered that tower."

Kotunga
Kono Lowlands

Within 30 minutes of the landing of the Heritage forces a battle approached, a Peace Militia war band in the area drove towards their village in technicals with militia loaded on them, looking fierce and ready to kill. They didn't attack, but merely positioned themselves far enough away on the hills overlooking the village that was being set up in the Kono Lowlands.

Kotunga
Kono Lowlands
Yutano Village

Overlooking the rich golden fields, and the sun-scorched slaves that worked them pleased Hinsatmaka. What didn't please him, as he drank his afternoon purified water, was watching a few spacecraft drop far into the distance. The mud villages the dotted around the fields of his village. He himself was in a well-armed and protected fortress. As he was immediately displeased with the "attacks" on his "front lawn" he immediately sent a group of militia out to investigate the crash site, they would have arrived on scene no more than an hour later.

Kotunga
Swarracor Coast - Badlands
Port Waddy

The port was quiet in the early light, some could even say peaceful. The militia who were still up, fucking and drinking were harmless, and the only other morning dwellers were paid guards or farmers selling grain at the markets from the surrounding areas. A large fish market was erupting set up all over the coast, and many people had travelled far from their villages, throwing huge wads of cash at people to keep their village fed. The odd entertainer stayed at the side of the cracked road, and some workmen were in the street were filling in potholes with a spinning cement mixer. A bar deployed a few drunks on the street. Some laid in the gutter, some began to scrap with each other, and others just attempted to dander home, trying not to go fully drunk. The odd horse drawn cart made the city seem almost active, happy if it will, but the city harboured a population of killers, and all the traders were keen to get out of the city before mid day, before the drunken, fume breathing militia's woke from their slumber to attack and kill other people. Luckily for any out-of-town visitors, the Maqu'Ke raider vessels were not shored up on the harbour, suggesting they hadn't been in this area.

Kotunga

The Planets infamous natives had been inactive, as as such, the medieval settlers had expanded from their villages. In the Canoofaque; Bruckwood had become a city with strong, stone walls, trebuchets and crossbows. It possessed a few anti air guns as well, but the locals hadn't encountered any stiff resistance, and could have presumably started trading with other settlements.

Canoofaque Heartlands
Bruckwood

Bruckwood would have indeed been the place of many a citizen migrating, the life offered by the medieval like settlers of the Heritage would have been an instant win-win situation for both sides. Should the Heritage refuse the dark-skinned settlers, all hell could break lose, but due to the settlement trade, the swapping of villagers was going to become inevitable. However there were others who disliked this change of domination of Canoofaque; Hitsatmaka.

Hinsatmaka's militia were among the refugees, waiting, planning, eager to attack when the time was right. Whilst the populations could mix, it only meant there would be more volatility, unless of course Hinsatmaka was suppressed.

El Fawsan
The Docklands
Bust

The Docks erupted in plasma fire as gangsters shot at eachother across the cramped trade markets, bullets richocheted and melted brick as a Malverdian arms shipment from Carlos the Jackel had clearly been intercepted by the Peace Militia who were trying to intercept it. Problem was, nobody went anywhere in Kotunga without protection. The Malverdian mercs that were defending the Sons' splinter cell inside the city were too busy cutting down their invaders to care about the scale of this operation. The Peace Militia militants sprayed inaccurately at the trained malverdian soldiers, who shot back, cutting a few down. Within a few minutes there were more and more militia, ducking under the covered market stands, hiding behind lumber piles, even using ships in dry docks for cover. The amount of generic clutter being scattered around the docks in the fire-fight was immense, the citizens had been cleared out for the shipment so the only casualties were of those involved. Carlos the Jackal was there himself, pulling out a Skorpion SMG and nailing a militant of the Peace Milita before picking up a briefcase of money and running down the streets with the mercs in tail. What ensued was a gritty street race against time and manpower.

The militia were closing the window and Carlos was running out of street. A car skidded round the corner with a drive-by shooting crew. Before the window was even rolled down he dived into it, shooting as it drove up, killing the driver and the passenger with the gun. The five mercs left alive dived in behind him as he sat atop the dead driver and drove in his stead, using his corpse as a backward body bag. The Peace Militia tailed him all the way out of the city, Carlos drifted and swayed the car till the tires nearly fell off the car. The Peace Militia vehicles were nearly as bad, wheels came loose on corners, the paper thin armour blew some cars sky high, a brick was hurled at the windscreen of the car, and for a long stretch Carlos was driving blind with a crack in the windscreen. He kicked the screen through and used the brick on the accelerator, this allowed him to actually aim his Skorpion and stop two vehicles pursuing. All that left was a rampant technical that had joined the chase, shooting its heavy rounds wildly at the car that had been made a convertible with its bullet holes. Carlos capped the driver, as he looked back, all the mercs were dead, but his briefcase was in the passenger seat. He'd made it out of the city, and he'd made it out of the arms deal in one piece. That was something.

Zahara Ni'Kali exhaled sharply as she and and Hakeya Ol'Nar trudged along one of the secondary dirt roads along the coast. They were close; Zahara could just hear the sound of the locals in the distance going about their early morning drills. They'd even passed a few carts being drawn by odd four legged beasts of burden, although they'd made sure to keep clear. Hakeya had almost attempted to snag one of the beasts for an easy lunch, and Zahara had had to hold her back, or fear upsetting the locals. Their hunger was growing, though. A deep rumble in the pits of Zahara's stomach only reinforced this notion, and Hakeya's quiet groan just behind her forced her to accept reality..

They needed to eat and rest right now, or they weren't going to make it much farther.

Hakeya wasn't a complainer; she was a tough son of a meesu. A Legionnaire in the Alliance Legion before becoming a Frontiersman, she had endured worse. Yet it was clear she wasn't going to last much longer. A solid 'thump' caused Zahara to turn her head, and she saw Hakeya on one knee; her head lowered and her breathing labored. Without a moment to spare Zahara quickly made her way back; grasping her friend's three fingered hand and pulling it around her shoulder.

"Come Hakeya; we will find food soon. I promise.." She whispered in Kal; giving the woman a sharp tooth'd smile within' the confines of her helmet. Hakeya made no return comment as they continued onwards. Zahara held the weakening woman up as they made their way over a small rocky outcropping. A few minutes more, and they were indeed rewarded..

"FISH!" Cried Zahara as they looked down below the hill. The coastal area of this small town was bustling with an active fishing center! The market was not nearly as busy as it should be at this early hour, but the delicious, scrumptious fish that lined it's many market shops was plentiful! Even Hakeya propped her head up; her silvery eyes widening at the sight of a readily available source of lunch. No words were required! The two quickly began to make their way down the hill.

Without warning, the locals would come under a weaponless assault as two Kal'Bavakorian warriors dressed in dusty and mud covered alien envirosuits stumble down the hillside beside their active fishing marketplace. They'd make their way to the nearest deposit of fish and, without any payment or words of greeting, would quickly remove their helmets. A gust of pressurized alien wind would escape their masks before they are deposited beside them. Their hands grasp at the fish and their mouths, hidden along with their faces beneath the hoods present on their suits, would quickly rip them apart with the most violent noises the human ear could imagine..

The Kal's weren't really noticed as they came into the town, alien travellers came and went on Kotunga, especially with the establishment of new trading stations, and Kotungas closeness with near enough everywhere. Sol 2 had become a very dreaded informal nickname, contributions of all societies, refugees and the like, were not uncommon.

However to steal on Kotunga, while common, was foolish, foolish indeed. Especially when it was so blatant and downright disrespectful. Due to the fact that the Kals had walked right up to the nearest stall on the entrance to the town, which, as to be expected, was often the one held up the most. As soon as fish left the counter without words about trade, the exposed-headed Kal met a vendor who took a step back, revealing a strange pump action shotgun, which was abruptly pointed at the exposed flesh of the face and the trigger was pulled as the alien chowed down on what could be defined as a last supper. The bustling of the market place wasn't stopped like in any other society. Other vendors grabbed their weapons, some of the dark skinned individuals strutted on the street like dogs waiting for a piece of meat, clutching assault rifles. Some too advanced for their own good, an array of strange glowing weapons hummed as switches were flicked, the only merchant that shut his doors was the high-town weapons merchant, having seen enough raids in his time, his shack would have gone up in a second unless he put shutters on all the windows. The loud buckshot blast of the shotgun at close range on the market shack would have erupted around the block as people awakened slumber, housewives and fishermen out to sea sighed as the shots echoed. Disturbingly, like an wolf howl or a bird chirp, these guns were met with the distant prattle of gunfire in response. Just another day in Waddy.

Hakeya was in ecstasy. The fish, while not all that delicious on a full stomach, was unbelievable when one was near complete and utter starvation. She'd not eaten a real fresh meal in months, and now she was forcing these fish down her throat without pause in the hopes of filling her stomach as quickly as possible. Her mandibles clicked together as raw fish blood and scraps dribbled off her split chin and onto the floor. It was good. So, so good, that she could hardly concentrate on anything else..

Except, however, for the sudden appearance of a dark skinned human with a primitive flechette gun.

Hayeka's scales crackled, and her adrenaline suddenly blasted her mind into overdrive as her glowing eyes stared headlong into the barrel of the weapon. She barely had time to move; turning her head just in time to avoid a facefull of pellets. The blast was deafening, and it sent Hakeya flying backwards; tearing her enviro-suit's hood apart, as well as nearly tearing off her ear, the right side of her face, and most of her right mandible. Black blood splattered down her uniform and, with a horrid scream, she'd collapse onto her back; her hands grasping at her face.

Zahara did not waste a moment. Her Slot Sword was in her hands in seconds. The metallic band from the hilt's center detached from the weapon and ignited; illuminating the vendor and his shack with the blade's blue hue. Just as fast as the vendor's eyes could track, the blade would suddenly pierce his stomach. With just barely enough time to feel the agony aching up his now detached spine, the fiery blade would ride upwards; slicing the man's upper body clean in half, and cauterizing the massive cavity before his organs could fall out.

With Hakeya crying out in agony, and a dead street vendor now collapsing onto the ground, Zahara knew they were in serious trouble. Grabbing the badly wounded Kal by her arm, as well as their face masks, Zahara would pull Hakeya out of her own pool of blood. Zahara leads her comrade into the now owner-less shack in an effort to find cover.

Setting Hakeya against the wall inside the shack, Zahara would quickly deactivate her Slot Sword and, sealing it against her belt, she'd grab her plasma rifle from around her back. Leaving Hakeya to tend to her wounds, Zahara activates the charging handle on her rifle...

And waits.

The merchant cried out as the sword went through him, only to be cut short. Or rather cut exactly half way. As the two Kals waited in the shack rounds peppered through the metal, including a large red beam that would slice the roof of the shack off. In the distance the Kotungans yelled and screamed.

"OVER THERE, YES YES THEY ARE IN THERE, SHOOT THE FUCKING FISH!"

Off the counter the fish was inaccurately blasted away by the men on the road. The explosive and plasma weaponry was un-checked and deafening, the city was blasted with the shock-waves of gunfire inaccurately blasting down the street.

Some Kotungans knew what they were doing, such as one who walked along the road calmly in the face of gunfire, firing some sort of laser jury-rigged repeater rifle at the shack. The laser was unfocussed and super charged, melting square metre holes in the shack, eroding the cover. In the distance vehicles were coming, the distant boom of men yelling over megaphones and hard rap music was only a grim sign of things to come. The Kals had woken up Waddy. Coupled with this, a spiked green object, wrapped in razor-wire and apparently covered in dog shit was just thrown into the remnants of the Fishing Shack.

"Zak'hskirakaaaa keke!" Cried Zahara in Kal as another series of energy rounds pierced the shack; missing her by mere feet. Zahara would pop out of cover for just a second; her plasma rifle's targeting scope placed tightly against her luminous right eye. A split second was all it took...

SKZZZZAAT!

A three round burst of pure plasma ejected from the barrel of her plasma rifle; sending three beams of ionized plasma bolts down the streets of the now bustling and violent town. The rounds impact the Kotungan out in the street with the heavy laser repeater gun. The bolts, upon impact, blow one of his legs clear off and tear a massive hole in his unarmored stomach; sending blood and gore flying as the man crumbles to the deck.

With some of the pressure now released, Zahara wastes not a moment. Throwing the plasma rifle over her back, magnetically attaching it to the locks there, she'd rush over to Hakeya. The girl was barely conscious at this point from the pain, and black blood continued to ooze from her torn face. Her enviro-suit automatically applies a pain neutralizer and a few agents to assist with the blood clotting, but this wound would require true medical attention, and soon.

Zahara quickly bends over and grabs Hakeya. Without much effort, she lifts Hakeya over her back and rises. As she rushes over to the nearby wall, one full of holes and with clear signs of structural weakness, the odd grenade would suddenly land in the shack.

"SHAJSHSNAAAAA" Shrieks Zahara as she doubles forward. Bracing herself, the Kal would smash her body into the broken wall; sending the shack's wall flying and causing the shack to destabilize quickly. The Kal'Bavakorian, carrying her comrade on her back, sprints away from the shack and into the street...

And then the grenade, with the power of an active IED, goes off.

Zahara and Hakeya are sent flying a good ten feet; impacting another shack and going straight through it. The collapsed shack in which the grenade exploded merely sends out more shrapnel, turning anyone near the shack into mincemeat...

As the man was cut in half, outrage was yelled out.

"D'Portguard! THEY KILLED THE PORTGUARD!"

Outrage over the death of this technological figure had clearly riled the populace, and the conflict would only end in the death of either one party, and the Kotungans fancied their odds. As the Kals could now see the sea, the Port of Waddy and the fishermen loading barrels onto the boats they worked on. They paused and lit cigarettes, revelling in the trouble of what they presumed to be bandits. They cheered on the lynch mob, shouting things like "String those alien assholes up! ....No offence Jal'Jax"

"None taken you ugly bastard..."

Amongst the rubble that was already laid on the street the rounds followed, continuing in intensity, from the shacks where they just were, outside of visible range; rocks and bottles, the odd molotov and another hand grenade followed them as they raced to get out to the area. On the hotel down the street cracked out a loud rifle, the glinting off the roof showed off an inexperienced sniper trying to take pot-shots at the two. The engines of the distance vehicles rolled closer...

Zahara slowly blinked. For a moment the pain was unbearable. It was insane; almost mind numbing. Then she felt a light stinging feeling in both arms, and seconds later the pain dissipated; becoming more of a dull ache than the sharp pains she felt from hitting the shed, and subsequently the floor of another fishing shack, so hard. With the pain now dulled down Zahara had only one thought on her mind..

Escape.

With a light snarl, Zahara would get a quick understanding of her surroundings, as well as checking herself over. No punctures in her suit, she could tell that much; she was just badly banged up. A few planks, boards and pieces of sheet metal lay on top of her and, with a second snarl, she'd push them off her body and attempt to rise. She peered outside the shack, and spotted the ocean. A means of escape from this hellish place..

Zahara then paused, noting a lack of her comrade.
"Hayeka?" She'd call out; her luminous eyes snapping from one corner of the room to the other. A fire grenade smashed against the shack; causing Zahara to cringe as flames began to cover the roof of the shack and surround it in it's entire. Yet she continued to look until, finally, she found Hayeka..

She was slumped on the floor. Covered in her own blood, clearly unconscious, and with the arm of her enviro-suit ripped, she was getting worse by the second. Coughing aloud, Zahara would quickly rush over to her comrade. Grasping the poor girl and pulling her over her shoulder again, Zahara would quickly make her way towards the exit of the building.

Her eyes were centered on one of the fishing barges close by, just beyond the shacks. The humans near the barges didn't appear to be armed, and she'd need to move fast in order to get to them without being torn apart by hostile fire. With adrenaline and Kal'Bavakorian drugs pumping through her black veins, Zahara would let out a loud barking sound before starting off in a sprint toward the barges. She kicked her way through the shed and started out towards the nearest fishing barge with the speed of a gold medal olympian runner. Her gear and extra carrying pouches bounced on her body, and Hayeka was getting a bit roughed up on her back, but all Zahara could think about was getting to those barges..

And she'd break any human that tried to stop her along the way..

As Zahara approached the wooden docks nobody really moved but she wouldn't have had to push anyone out the way. She would obviously jump on the front she was aiming for. The boat was captained by an elder man on the front. He flailed his arms shouting;

"Get off my boat, I built this boat with my blood and sweat over fifteen years! Have you no pride!"

Meanwhile on the docks people started throwing stones after they saw an altercation between the Kals and a retiree. Some of the dock workers were young kids, who preferred to film the incident with their camera phones rather than throw rocks.

The dockworkers however DID scatter when the thunderous boom of rap music came to be distinctly audiable. Gravel and dirt crunched as technical skidded to a halt on the ridge as the Maqu'Ke raiders showed up. 3 white jeeps, each loaded with men waving flags, shouting chants and holding guns into the air jumped off the trucks and took cover. The trucks themselves riddled the barge, if Zahara had taken her chances and jumped onto the boat. However even if the barge got out to sea, it would surely be sunk.

Kotunga
Kotusus, Canoofaque Heartlands
TerraNec Canoofaque Neutrochemical Refinement Facility

The refinery was a noisy place, the constant rumbling of machines combined with the laboring of the hundreds of human workers who tended to the facility on a daily basis made it difficult to think straight. How anybody could do business out here is beyond me, Sukma thought to herself as she complimented her interior monologue with an exterior smirk. Serving as one of the leading economic advisers for the New Terran throne made her an extraordinarily busy person as these 'advisers' were expected to negotiate with individuals whom the Minister of Commerce didn't want to be seen meeting for fear of a scandal or just a lack of importance. Whilst the job was overbearing it had its perks, Sukma had been able to establish a considerable network of contacts using the position and as a result her future career potential was growing brighter by the day.

She was brought back to reality as the open-top jeep came to an abrupt halt infront of a tall five-story building. In similar fashion one of the PMC escorts quickly maneuvered himself to open the door for the Adviser, a gesture of respect no doubt specifically ordered by the head of the facility. Sukma hopped out cautiously, taking a brief look around before giving a hollow 'thank you' to the mercenary and starting towards the building. The front exterior appeared immaculate, reflecting the outside environment back towards the viewer and in the perfect center was the colossal logo of TerraNec.

The New Terran Neutrochemical Corporation or the TerraNec Group had quite a legacy, for the past several years it had been ranked amongst one of the largest companies in the Galaxy by revenue as it dealt with finances in the tens of trillions of credits on a daily basis. It's reach was felt everywhere especially as it's main source of revenue, helium-3, began to grow exponentially in demand at the end of the Great War, since then it's primary drive has been the ruthless acquisition of this resource through any means available. The Kotungan plant was only a month old yet had grown to the size of a small city, TerraNec had 'acquired' exploitation rights of nearby Helium-3 fields within and nearby the Ricanar System and it was pure fiscal pragmatism that resulted in the establishment of the Canoofaque Facility. Back home, the corporate heads deemed it to be cheaper to directly refine the fuel planetside rather than shipping it off to be treated in one of their Tahari or Ambrosian facilities. Since then the region experienced an explosion in growth and many local warlords and politicians found themselves greatly enriched through their cooperation with TerraNec.

Sukma guessed her presence was directly related to these backroom dealings and by the time she ascended the elevator to the Regional Manager's Office and began shaking hands with local politicians she was debating with herself whether or not to take pride in such mundane clairvoyance.

"And last but not least, this is Gao Hulang, my personal assistant or 'adjutant' as I like to call him."
a series of laughs were elicited from the group of corporate and political figures as he directed their handshake.

"Pleased to meet you as well, Mr. Hulang." she told the man, who returned with his own confident greeting.

"Likewise, Ms. Panaromo, I've heard much about you and I hope you'll match up with the many impressive rumors circulating about you." he cracked a sly smile which was eagerly returned by Sukma.

"Oh, I wasn't aware paperwork carried so much clout," she said coyly.

"Far too modest, Ms. Panaromo." Oswald Spencer, the Regional Manager, stated whilst motioning towards the conference table. "By all means, take your seats ladies and gentlemen. We're about to begin, we're just awaiting the arrival of our principle guest, he's a leading member of the local 'security collective' the name of which just happens to elude me at the moment - it was... Hinsatmaka, I believe?"

A nod from his 'adjutant' bolstered his confidence.

"Excellent, as I was saying he should be here soon then we can get this meeting started."

Hinsatmaka walked through the doors of the conference hall, donned in a battle harness, with two batteries powering exo-arms he has. Around his green battle harness was a bullet-belt, under that was a red wife-beater. He had green digital pants and brown boots. Between his wife-beater and his green harness was a large composite kevlar vest. He held an assault rifle with a plasma battery on it suggesting it was a lot more threatening than it looked. He chewed on a krunga reed. He pulled up a chair and sat down.

He dipped his aviators and chucked them onto the desk.
"Gentlemen, may I first say thank you for choosing to sponsor my faction to provide you with security rather than any other rabble out here, I assure you, my boys... and my men will not let you down out there. Now. What do you wish to discuss."

Makako Depott

The Saphrithid arms-dealers were successfully inserted into Kotunga several weeks ago. So far they had completely avoiding detection by the local natives and had set up their base of operations in an old stone fort in the Rican countryside.

The assigned mission for the team is to make contact with a local militia group and “gift” them with the newly released experimental dark matter rifle which had successfully passed the prototype phase and was ready for field testing. The plan was then to observe the combat effectiveness of the weapon in the hands of local militia units and then make a detailed report of the capabilities of the rifle within a combat environment. The notes made during the mission would then be used for further modifications of the prototype, which would then at a later date be introduced for use into confederate military.

The team was led by Helina Navik a young Saphrithid female in her early twenties, daughter of Jacolok Navik a prominent board member of the Riikas Corporation. Helina was assigned to the mission thanks to the considerable influence of her father who wanted his beloved daughter to gain much needed experience.  For security, 3rd Platoon of the 2nd Special Forces battalion led by Captain Jornick Denoco, middle aged and a veteran of many under cover missions. Denoco was hard and uncompromising and his experience along with the skill of his team would help greatly with the success of the mission.

Contact had been made with the prominent “Free Liberal Fighters” who operated within the region of Northern Rica. The group had been selected due to their constant state of fighting with their rivals the “Liberal Free Fighters” and as such were considered the perfect testers for the weapon. The groups had been contacted and all that the Saphrithid arms dealers could do no is wait for the arrival of their potential business partners.

Rap music blasted so loud it rattled the sand off the ruins of depot. A white technical slammed through the metal gates with the gun wildly shooting in the air. Akuma applied the handbreak and crashed into a wall, slamming the gunner into the brickwork. As he exited his technical, the second vehicle crashed into the back of his car. He let a Malverdian Cigar as he strutted across the depot compound. Dressed in camo pants, business shoes and the top half of a bomb defusal suit, he yelled out orders to his crew, and to the aliens.

"We're here for the weapons, it is finally time to kill the Liberal Free Fighters!"

Akuma ordered his militia to grab the crates and load them into his truck. But his crew had their weapons scattered about and they were openly checking them out.

The arrival of the “Free Liberal Fighters” was a surprise shock for the young Helina and entourage. But regaining her composure she stepped up to Akuma and welcomed him, she then ordered her men to help disrupt the weapons to the Akuma and his men.

“I hope these weapons will prove satisfactory for you and your men” Helina said trying her best to act friendly to the oddly dressed man “However, I should warn you these weapons are quite fragile so please exercise some care when you and your men use them”.

Akuma Mondwellu oversaw the dealings as it all went down. Rap music blared from his technical as he hauled the crates into the back of the truck, without really saying much to the Saphrithid he smiled, revealing a full grill of gold teeth. "We will take your guns alien girl, and fuck up the other aliens and man boys reaaaaaal good." As the truck drove away, purple laser beams filled the sky as the militia shot into the air with their new weapons of unknown, experimental power, some of the men exploded as the guns blew up in their faces, but some "warrriors" were so high on heroin and Code-Z augmented heroin they didn't care any more.

It wasn't long after they drove away that new, blue trucks drove into the compound, the gunner of the first truck fired wildly into the air as the truck stopped dead in the middle of the compound with a hand-break turn. The turn that followed had about 30 men on the back of it, waving flags and one man threw a molotov at a brick wall.

"We're here for the weapons, it is finally time to kill the Free Liberal Fighters!"

"Death to the Free Liberal Fighters, more drugs, more woman, more guns!" said Berty "Killa" Monjaro "I heard there was a deal going down, we're here for the stash, alien bitch." he said, as he fired his assault rifle in the air to accent his sentence. He lit his crackpipe and smoked a hit, he then held the crackpipe out to her. "You want some crack?"
