The entity does not seem to share the Empress' sense of humor, remaining silent during her chuckle. Maybe it's heard the joke before. Maybe.

"I would prefer not to. We are a people best left in secrecy."

Perhaps it was a thing of culture. Perhaps it had been too much to ask of the obscure being, to immediately provide details of its conglomerate. Perhaps in due time, gradually, the nature of it and its peers would become clearer over time. But given the information the creature had already donated, its reluctance of transparency would not seem to be a sign of distrust or malevolence. Regardless, the being remained, the soft coast breeze continuing to blow against the creature's tattered robes as the sky reflected in its body.

The Hallo'Wai System;
Planet of Nathari,
Alliance Colony 'Moon City' Outskirts

The Empress merely nods her helmeted head. She takes no insult from the silence the creature so readily extends, almost as if she knows why, and respects such a decision.

"I understand.. My people as a whole do."

She then extends a hand to her six o'clock; pointing towards the tall hillside behind the holo-projector where the Alliance personnel waited for orders.

"My soldiers wait beyond this hillside for you. I see no reason why you cannot complete your quest here; I only ask you follow their orders, as if their words are my own. Explain your predicament to them, and they will assist, I assure you."

She then lowers her arm, and looks off to the side; something catching her gaze within' her own realm. She stares into the distance for a moment or so, silence taking reign, before she looks back to the creature standing 'before' her.

"I have taken enough of your time; I will leave you. But, before I go... I wish to ask you your personal title; your name, to be precise. Your species intrigue me, Familiar One, and I feel both our peoples' futures will be intertwined in some manner.. It is only best to have a contact for further communication."

As the drop ship came to a hover and set down, its collision lights would flicker off and the gear would drop down. The cabin would depressurise and the rear cargo door drop down, looking in, the Kal's would see around ten armed soldiers, quite bulky in their suits due to the layers of armour. Near the front of the hull, next to the entrance from the cargo cabin to the cockpit, was a compact collection of metal one soldier climbing into it as the ramp descended. Even with the military presence, the first off the drop ship would be one of the few on the ship who wasn't armed in some way. Obviously an official with the military, medals pinned to his chest, as if an ode to the presentation seen in armies hundreds of years prior. He came forward in a dress uniform, clean cut and tailored to fit him perfectly, a rebreather over his mouth, complete with a greatcoat. As he furthered his distance from the drop ship the escorts would trickle out to follow him, only two soldiers to the table and the rest setting a perimeter around the landed craft, denying anyone coming within fifteen feet of it. Soon after the movement of servos and the heavy clanging of metal hitting metal, a heavy combat exoskeleton would saunter out of the cargo hold and make it's way to the table. Standing at the least fifteen foot, it was insurance if the Kal's attempted anything. Once it was in place, the in armoured officer would approach the table and speak.

"I am Matthew Levine, Oberleiter of the flotilla Leonis' Pride's ambassadorial attachment, I formally held the rank of Captain within the Coalitions navy. I will be representing the Coalition of Cleansed Territories in these talks. I first, would like to ask, how should I address your peoples?".

Through the rebreather, it would be translated to a robotic Alarei speak. The coalitions limited knowledge of alien races limiting to simple the Alarei's full alphabet and language.

The Hallo'Wai System;
Planet of Nathari,
Alliance/Coalition Meeting Zone

The Human delegate would, upon stepping off their dropship, come to hear a tune. A most interesting tune, at that; one that sounded both alien, yet familiar, at the same time. With strong trumpet-sounding devices and other alien instruments playing a song that caused the aliens at the far table to stand immediately at 'attention', it could be deduced the song was the anthem of the alien empire; possibly depicting them as a nationalistic people. It was played as a greeting to the human delegate, and their first taste at the culture of the Kal'Bavakorian people.

The music seemed to be coming from the table that stood not all that far away; possibly from some sort of speaker system, as no band seemed to be about. Around this table, spherical and bubbly in nature, stood only fifteen individuals. Their stature was not all that impressive; most of these creatures stood at an average five foot. It was their armor, their technology, and their demeanor that truly stood out.

Ten of the individuals standing around the table were dressed in some interesting suits of armor that almost seemed religious in origin; designating the aliens as a possible theocratic culture. They seemed extremely advanced, much more so than the human military forces the Coalition had placed down to greet their hosts, with some of the aliens even sporting what appeared to be weapons that glowed vibrantly around the magazine stacks of their foreign rifles.. Energy weapons. These soldiers, standing straight and at attention, hold their rifles vertically and extended outwards in a respectful manner. Five soldiers on each side of the table, five males and five females; all awaiting the end of the anthem in order to face the human forces.

Even more curious are the last five individuals. They are dressed in alien suits of sealed armor, giving them an almost angelic look. There are four of these individuals sitting to the rear of the table, while one stands at the front of the table; closest to the human envoy. The Kal'Bavakorian 'angel' closest to the human forces is the most exotically ornamented of the five 'angels', and it is entirely plausible that she is the leader.

While the rest of the alien envoy sits, or stands, at attention while the anthem is playing, the leader of the group stares at the humans; the red eyes of her beautifully constructed helmet staring intently at Captain Levine and his massive mechanized beast, which she castes a few glances upwards at. Immediately upon the anthem ending, the ten Kal'Bavakorian soldiers relax, and turn all at once towards the human envoy in perfect unison. They do not raise their weapons, although their single red eye'd helmets stare just as intently upon the humans as their leader does. They are prepared for anything, and the large mech robot only seems to antagonize the already tense situation..

Once Captain Levine stops speaking, the Kal'Bavakorian leader simply stares at the human envoy for a moment or so. What she was thinking, the humans could not possibly predict, as her alien features were utterly hidden behind her foreign, exotic mask. It is only after a minute of total silence, with only subtle movements from her person, that the woman speaks at last...

Interestingly enough, she speaks in perfect English! It is only somewhat accented, meaning the speaker had enhanced training in the language, and made somewhat synthetic by the speakers of her helmet. The voice also sounds rather.. Irritated.

"I am Lady Ambassador Hash Na'Luk of the Alliance of Kal'Bavakorian Nations, and am assigned to the planet Nathari's Mel'Va Diplomatic Corps. Unfortunately, I did not understand a single word you have just said to me, so I believe English is a preferable language to speak for now. Before we do 'speak'..."

Her helmets glowing red eyes suddenly snap towards the large, mechanized robot standing before her. It towered over her people with ease, and shadowed the foods and goods the Kal'Bavakorians had placed upon the table with goodwill.

"Remove your... Mechanized beast.. From this area. Not only does its heavy footing destroy this wondrous garden, but my people do not pursue friendly talks while under gunpoint... Your soldiers may stay, though. "

The Coalition envoy perked up once he realized through the accent, that the Kal'Bavakorian spoke English, it shot into his head how they'd come across the language, perhaps humans were present on the planet? Or was it something far more sinister. Levine looked over his left shoulder to the mech, he'd always argued that it would rarely make the coalition look good to bring a mobile heavy weapons platform, but he couldn't argue with doctrine. The hulking mass of armour and weapons turned back to the drop ship, reverting back to it's old state, it's pilot waiting by the entrance to the ships cargo hold, overlooking the talks. Levine stepped forward to the table and observed the goods present upon it, removing a part of his mask, he'd speak again, this time in English, accented by his Scandinavian upbringing but easy enough to understand.

"Apologies, we've always been informed to start talks in the old language of the Alarei. As I had said before, I am Oberleiter Levine, representative of the Coalition of Cleansed Territories, assigned to the flotilla; Leonis' Pride. It's my honor to be the first of my people to address yours.".

The soldiers surrounding the drop ship came off alert, letting their weapons dangle from their chest rigs and conversing between eachother, of course anyone coming close would be stopped and asked their business.

D.K.M. Munich, Officers Dining Center.

The large dining hall of the Munich, equipped to seat the many officers of the craft was relatively empty for today's session. Seating only the three Captains of the flotilla, every other member of the ambassadorial detachment except for Levine, the Field Marshall of the combined ground forces on the flotilla and of course the delegate assigned to report to Holbach himself. The group was debating whether or not ground forces were needed planet-side as quickly as possible, regardless of how it defied diplomatic movements, or if they should proceed peacefully and attempt at making good relations with the new race. Field Marshall Olson was the first to speak.

"We can't forget what happened at Okri, if it happens again we will be forced into another era of isolationism after the destruction of this planets infrastructure. But if we learn from those mistakes and have ship killers dotted around the planet as soon as we can, we will hold the better cards should a naval force arrive, of which we can only assume is already on it's way.".

Most of the room murmured in agreement, Captain von Döbeln and the ambassadors disagreeing with the jingoistic view shared by the Field Marshall and the other captains. The delegate sat quietly, recording what was being said. Von Döbeln raised, addressing the room once more.

"From the reports on the ground, we've been greeted with great hospitality by the so called 'Kal'Bavakorians'. Even if they do change their minds, Munich and Essen are more than well-equipped to combat most incoming craft and Gothenburg will be able to fulfill the doctrine.".

The Field Marshall shook his head, he was not sold by the idea of a diplomatic approach, but if he continued to argue his point Döbeln would simply pull rank and the operation would go ahead ignoring the pleas of the Marshall and the other two Captains, the delegate had already sided with Döbeln which meant Holbach had sided with the diplomatic route.

"Marshall, I know the idea of leaving it to chance is not ideal to you and we all understand what Okri took from you and why you would combat this idea. But this is the one chance we have to make an ally close to home and we have to do what we can to secure them as one.".

Döbeln sat down with that last statement, he looked between the ambassadors and the delegate.

"Meeting dismissed, I'll have the ship killers prepped and loaded into Type 2's with full combat load outs and escorts. Hangars four and six onboard Gothenburg will move every other asset into adjourning hangars or storage so the trucks can stay on standby.".

With that, von Döbeln got up and made his way back to the bridge, leaving the rest of the officers to find their way back to their respective rooms or transports.

The Hallo'Wai System;
Planet of Nathari,
Alliance/Coalition Meeting Zone

The Kal'Bavakorian Ambassador, staring with her helmet's invasive, intimidating red eyes at the somewhat taller Human Levine, would watch his person for a moment. She was examining him; looking him over a few more times before her gaze shifted to view the other assembled human soldiers behind the Oberleiter. Although her body language was practically unreadable, as she was clearly not a human, it was probable they didn't feel very safe around the human envoy. Even with the Coalition's mech gone, the Kal'Bavakorians remained stoic as ever.

After this awkward moments of pause for the human envoy, the Ambassador would suddenly, and slowly, extend her right hand outwards towards Levine. The three fingered hand, encased in a thick mesh glove, would then curl tightly into a fist before she brings it towards her breast. With a gentle 'cooing' sound, a noise a human could not hope to reproduce naturally, she would bow her head respectfully. The ten Alliance soldiers standing beside the table would follow this same action; snapping to attention before dropping their rifles to their sides. Just as their Ambassador does, they gently place their clenched fists against their chests, and bow.

The other two 'angelic' Kal'Bavakorians sitting at the end of the table do not move. They seem to be observing for the time being, and are not actively partaking in the proceedings.

The Kal'Bavakorians seemed to be welcoming the Coalition with their bow, and the next words of the Ambassador Hash Na'Luk would reinforce this notion. With a voice soothing, yet cautiously reserved, the Ambassador would speak; rising to full height as she does.

"We are honored to host the Coalition of Cleansed Territories upon Nathari. As your arrival was.. Unexpected, we were not able to prepare any suitable centers for humankind. We hope the food and refreshments prepared, as well as this garden meeting place, will be a suitable replacement for an actual embassy."

She turns to her soldiers for a moment, and releases a quick series of barks and hoots in their native language; sounds comparable to the animals of Old Earth. Quickly, the Alliance soldiers turn and, stepping towards the spherical table, quickly pull out seats for the Oberleiter Levine and his soldiers. They then take a few steps back, and stand at attention; the single red eyes on each helmet staring straight ahead.

The Ambassador would begin to walk around the table; the cloak around her body flowing in the gentle breeze overtaking the cold Nathari mountaintop. She would settle back into her seat in between the two silent Kal'Bavakorians already at the table, and would motion to the Oberleiter with a wave of her hand.

"Your envoy may sit; they need not stand all night. You may also remove your masks.. The air is plenty breathable, although it may be a tiny bit chilly for your species. Even then, a bit of cold is no reason to avoid good food and drink!"

The wood and metal table, so bubbly and organic in build, was filled to the brim with various fruits, vegetables, and meats of all sizes. There were fruits that looked eerily similar to Earth apples and oranges, and vegetables that looked like something out of a science fiction movie. Even more curious were the meats spread about the table. Some looked delicious; steam rising off their heated husks that smelled like heaven. Others, not so much. It appeared that even some of the meats were still /alive/; most notably a group of squid-like creatures that moved around inside a small container on the Kal side of the table..

The drinks were much more simple to choose from. Clear glass pitchers and cups sat around the table, which held water, milks, and juices to taste from. These did not look all that foreign, and actually looked quite delicious. Even with little time to set up this selection, the Kal'Bavakorians prepared quite a selection.

Hallo'Wai Systems.
Alliance/Coalition talks.

Levine looked across the table, weeks of Coalition rationing had left him with a appetite yearning more. He seemingly checked his watch, then with one last breath, removed the respirator from his mouth. Taking his first few breaths, followed by a minor coughing fit as he sat, the byproduct of years of 'relief packets', glorified cartons of cigarettes, anti-stress drugs and protein bars. He retrieved one of the cartons from his pocket, turning the packet over to make sure of its contents. He'd look up at the Kal envoy, placing one of the 'relievers' in his mouth.

"Do not fret, what you have prepared for us are more than enough for soldiers on the march! I hope that enjoying one of these would not be a insult to our very gracious and beautiful surroundings.".

Considering no one combated the idea, he would slip a patch onto his index finger and thumb and snap his fingers, the patch on his index acting like a thin match, burning out in just enough time for him to light the end of the reliever. Dragging on it quickly, and holding the carton behind him for one of the security detail to collect, not before offering it to the envoys. He'd remove the shawl from his uniform and look over the food once more.

"So, obviously from your grasping of our language you have already made contact with humanity. I hope they were as hospitable as you have been to us, and if not I personally thank you for not classing us the same as perhaps our more... jingoistic brethren.".

He would look over the selections on the table. Of course never encountering any of it before, his curiosity stirring.

"So, what would you suggest I try?"

The rest of the group, security and crewmen alike, would stay standing by the drop ship, not joining the envoy. Whether it was because they thought it was solely for him to enjoy or just out of not being called to join, it wasn't known.
___________________________

D.K.M. Gothenburg.

Hangars four and six were abuzz, as fighter munitions were moved out alongside tank rounds, rifles and landmines to the storage modules behind the hangars. The only things meant to be in the hangar were the Type 2 drop ships and their cargo loads, Type 32 Mobile Anti-Orbital Systems. Essentially stubby rail guns mounted onto 16x16 truck beds, launching MIRV's into the upper atmosphere, where they were free to engage naval targets orbiting. Key to Coalition doctrine, Field Marshall Olson had organized for double the average number to be brought on the maiden voyage into restricted space. He'd seen what happened on Okri and refused to have another situation like that on his hands, so combat doctrine had all its assets increased and some of the most drilled units attached to Gothenburg. Should push come to shove, the Coalition was ready to move into action and secure the planet to give them the upper-hand in any diplomatic talks. But that all depended on how the Kals acted.

The Hallo'Wai System;
Planet of Nathari,
Alliance/Coalition Meeting Zone

Ambassador Hash Na'Luk could practically see the hunger in the eyes of the human Levine as he surveyed the presented foods. Either they weren't fed all that well, or they ate horrible foods upon their warships. While it was a possibility that weren't fed well, she expected the latter for multiple reasons..

She had seen the report of the human fleets defense and combat capabilities, created by the regional Svu'Kavsi, before personally assisting in setting up the meeting arrangements. This 'Coalition', clearly not the same one the Assault Fleet had been sent to deal with in the Alpha Sector, had three dreadnoughts in orbit above Nathari, with scans showing they were heavily armed and armored. Even more curious were the multiple hanger-bay blast doors out their outer hulls; depicting them to be something akin to invasion or support craft. Maybe they had expected a fight, or maybe they had accidentally warped into Alliance space? Either way, they were identified as long-range warships, and thus they had to be storing enough food to supply their large populations..

So they just fed their troops with poor foods. Possibly nutrient substitutes; something only a nation with low funding or older preservation technologies would be forced to provide. That was a problem the Alliance did not face anymore on military warships. With state of the art preservation and refrigeration technologies, coupled with re-hydration systems to allow tighter packing of dehydrated foods into the food holds, the Alliance Navy provided fresh fruits and meats to their troops to keep soldiers strong and morale high.

Such logical deductions dropped a large amount of common-sense information into the Ambassadors mind; information for her eventual report on these 'CCT'-types, and information that would assist her in these negotiations. Regardless of her deductions, she was enjoying these humans somewhat. The Human-Levine seemed thoroughly interested in this first contact meeting, although his envoy appeared to be a bit.. Reserved, as they stood by their ship in silence.

"I certainly hope so! The farmers in the nearby towns of Ob'Vorgod and Barasu have been working hard to produce such a wonderful harvest. I thought it only kind to share some of our delicacies with our star-faring guests. And yes, you may enjoy your.. Ember-Cigarette, I believe it is called. A bit of smoke shall do the garden no harm." The Ambassador replies warmly. She places her hands upon the table, her three-fingered hands intertwining together as she eyes the human sitting opposite of her. The two Kal'Bavakorians sitting beside her continue observing the talks; possibly recording the proceedings between the two beings.

The next words of the human Levine bring the Ambassadors voice to a somewhat relaxed state.

"You are most welcome, Human Levine. While you did make some worried with your 'interesting' choice of diplomatic starcraft, we saw no reason to deny you a warm welcome to our home. Indeed, the majority of humans we have come into contact with have been kind. Although we may have had.. How do your people say.. "A few bumps in the road" when attempting friendly relations with humans, the Alliance seeks to open friendly relations with all foreign species and governments. One does not travel far without friends, for they may need a shoulder to lean on in the future."

The Ambassador then turns to gaze upon the selection of foods upon the humans questioning of what to pick. Gently motioning towards a bowl of what appeared to betransparent orbs of multiple colors, she would nod.

"If I was the first human to ever arrive on Nathari, I would try a Yagoosa Brush Fruit. It has a thick membrane on the outside, which is rather sour, but the liquid nectar at the center is very sweet. You drink the inside, then eat the outer membrane."

Indeed, the fruits appear to have a thick, transparent membrane on the outside; the texture comparable to that of jelly. The insides were filled with multi-colored liquids of orange, green, or yellow colors, with multiple tiny seeds floating around within'. They were indeed alien; unlike anything on Earth.

While waiting for the human to try it, Ambassador Hash Na'Luk would suddenly ask the Human Levine a question. A simple question pertaining to his purpose, although her tone retained the relaxed, friendly mannerisms she has maintained throughout their short exchange.

"While you enjoy the fruit, Human Levine, my people would be most interested in hearing the reason for your.. Visit."

Hallo'Wai Systems.
Alliance/Coalition talks.

Levine would then go ahead to openly smoke the cigarette. Listening politely to the Kals advice, he would reach for one of the Yagoosa's. Taking a bite out of the membrane, his face screwing up for a moment then timidly relaxing down as he got to enjoying the core. He'd look over his shoulder, beckoning for some of the security to join him. The NCO's would come forward, guns draped around to their rear. Each one taking a sample and tasting it for themselves, the same reactions around, they'd go back and divide it through the rest of the security forces. Levine, once he was finished, would go on to continue with the talks.

"To be perfectly honest with you, if anything we stumbled upon this planet and its inhabitants on pure mistake. Changes within our government led to the expansion of the Coalitions naval duties. Had you not of been here, this sector would just be part of the scheduled patrols. But it's even greater that you were here, like you said, it's better to have a shoulder to lean on in space than go at it alone and if the old human nations are as jingoistic as we all remember. Perhaps its better to differ ourselves from them and seek allies farther from home.".

Levine would look over the table once more, dragging on the cigarette once more and dropping the ash into a handkerchief.

"I hate to say it so early into our talks but I now they'll be on my back if I don't mention it at some point. But our scientific attachment would love to tour some of the planets ecosystems, we'd only do so with your blessing of course and need not worry babysitting us, if the locations are hostile we can gladly hold our own and not put any of your people at risk.".

Sampling one of the clearer liquids, Levine would add on after.

"Of course we'd be willing to trade or assist you in any local matters in exchange.".
